Green California Summit Approaches: Broad spectrum of government, education and business to meet the sustainability efforts in addition to State

8 and 9 to meet April thousands of representatives from a wide range of California government, education and business at the Sacramento Convention Center to the 2008 Green California Summit. The event, which was developed under the direction of senior officials and private sector leaders, is needed on programs, strategies and products to concentrate to build a California for future generations.
8th April will make a special event held at 16:30 clock, announce the winners of the Green California Leadership. The awards were created at the request of the Summit Advisory Board to the outstanding achievements of the state and municipal projects in 2007, seen in 8 categories of sustainability honored.
The opening session on 8 April will be a presentation by the California Public Utilities Commission Dian holm oaks and a speech by S. Rick Fedrizzi, founding chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council. The morning of the 9th April will feature Lt. Gov. John Garamendi and a speech by renowned author (Natural Capitalism) and Hunter Lovins environmentalists.
The exhibition hall will feature hundreds of green products and services, replacement vehicles and personal property for green office supplies and cleaning. The training program will focus on new developments, research and best practices in green building, energy conservation, design, landscaping and many other topics.
A survey shows the registry today an unusually broad spectrum of participants, with hospitals, school districts, community colleges, the UC and CSU systems, tribes, churches, developers, property managers and developers participating in addition to representatives of state and local government.
“This grant a spectacular confirmation of the commitment to sustainability that exists throughout the state, the government at all levels for the company,” said Bob Graves, president of Green Technology, a nonprofit organization that organizes the event.
