London Bus.What time should I leave the Business Design Centre in Islington for Marble Arch (Park Lane)?
Question : London Bus.What time should I leave the Business Design Centre in Islington for Marble Arch (Park Lane)?
Last Coach to Bristol 6.30pm. Park Lane. Design centre closes 5.30pm. I know the No. 30 runs every 8 mins. and takes about 45mins but will it take a lot longer at this busy time of the day?? I haven’t been to London before. I expect to leave the Centre early but how early?

at that time of day I wouldn’t be trusting the bus, too likely to get stuck in traffic jams … you’d be better using the underground … here’s the tube map to help you plan your journey http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/standard-tube-map.pdf

The Tube is quicker (just over 30 minutes). Walk to Angel Islington Tube Station. Take the Northern Line Southbound to Bank. Change at Bank for the Central Line. Any Westbound Central Line train will stop at Marble Arch. See the Transport For London Journey Planner at http://www.tfl.gov.uk/

45 minutes should be okay for route 30 even at rush hour time. Avoid route 73 which also goes from Islington to Marble Arch as this follows a longer more congested route
