Question : Where can I find vacation rentals in New York City?
I’m looking for an apartment rental for long weekend trips to New York City.

If you are a tourist, the best place to rent an apartment or guest room in someone’s home would be in Manhattan—–> http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/vac/

* Most of the listings are in Manhattan. There might be some that are out of town. So if you aren’t sure, ask the owners. Ask alot of questions before doing business with these individuals and remember to always go with your INTUITION. These bed and breakfast/vacation rentals are a great alternative to hotels! Plus their rates are 50% cheaper than hotels.

I strongly suggest you visit the website Vacation Rental by Owners at http://www.vrbo.com. They have rental properties all over the world. We have used them for several years and have not been disappointed yet. they usually include full kitchens and everything else you need for a great vacation without the hassle of motels at a very reasonable price depending of course when you go. The high season is always higher but if what you want is sold out. Give the place a call. Lots of times they have other places available at a reduced rate. good luck and enjoy New York city we love it there.
