can I charge rent for signs in my yard?

Question : can I charge rent for signs in my yard?
I live a a corner of a nice street. Everyone like to put signs in my yard.which never bothered me to much before. Now there is four Realtor signs two yard sale (which never come down after the sale). I am the one who straightens them picks them up takes them down mows around them and frankly why cant they do the maint. on them since the posting rent free?

If it were me, I would take them down if I owned the property and they were put up without my permission.

If so, thats not your property. it belongs to the City/Village…. so technically, you cant do anything about it. (Legally)… but how would anyone know if you took them down at night.

Where are they on the lot? If they are within the right-of-way of the road, you can complain to your municipality, but you technically don’t own that piece of land. Where I live, the 15′ from the back side of the curb (33′ from the center line of the road) belongs to the village. If they are posting the signs beyond the right-of-way, you have every reason to be mad. Contact the realtors directly to demand that they stop, and put up a “Post No Bills” sign of your own. Hope this helps.

knock them down, and watch over your yard. Tell people they can put the signs up after they pay $ 100 a month or whatever you think is resonable, or they can find another yard to put them in. Be assertive

All you have to do is pull them up and throw them away! Nobody is supposed to do that without YOUR permission, so if they do you’re free to take trash off your property and throw it away! Put your own sigh up that says NO SIGNS!
