Question : Mold detection Dogs???
I have owned a dog trained in seach and rescue work; and trained 3 of my own competitive obedience, rally, retrieving, and agility dogs and I want to train something “unique” I heard about mold detection dogs and I think that would be fun to try but what scents do I need to use and where do I get them? Also, is there a certification for the dog once its trained? Thanks for any and all responses. (if it helps, I also know how to train scent discrimination and passive response, etc.)

What a fantastic idea for a business! I live in the Seattle area… land of continual rain and mold. I don’t believe I’ve heard of a certification but I’d imagine training would be similar to any other form of scent discrimination.

I did hear of a dog trained to detect bedbugs.
