From the supplier: A survey of 2,011 past, present and future homeowners by the Insurance Research Council found 65% of respondents were unaware of the meaning of “redlining” and that 47% were against paying more money to make homeowners insurance more widely available. However, only 49% of respondents who were given additional information said inner-city homeowners should pay higher insurance premiums due to greater potential for losses. Further discussion is included of the meaning of the survey results.
