Can I get a refund on an extended warranty that I purchased for my car?
Question : Can I get a refund on an extended warranty that I purchased for my car?
I bought a new 2008 Toyota Corolla from a Toyota dealer. He offered me what I thought was a great deal on an extended warranty from Fidelity Warranty Services Inc.
When I got home, I checked out this company on the internet BBB and found out that it has a F rating.
I just bought the car 3 days ago and the contract states that I can cancel the policy for 100% refund if I do it withing 60 days.
I live in North Carolina.
Is this true? Do you think I will have a problem with cancelling this warranty?
Thank you,

I’m not sure about this particular company, but I’ve gotten refunds even when I sold the car early (before the warranty ran out), so hopefully you’re OK… especially if you have it in writing. Take your contract back to the dealership and tell them you’ve changed your mind. Because there’s going to be some paperwork for them to do to cancel (and they won’t like that), they’ll probably try to talk you out of it. Also, see if your contract says anything about a $ penalty if you cancel early.
i doubt it but try. employes complain about giving u a refund on a 20 dollar toy.
