Question : does anyone know of a good & cheap moving service company in houston area?
i’m moving next month and i need someone to move me from one apt to another thats less than 10 miles away. everyone service i’ve found is trying to charge me $ 200-$ 400 for a move that shouldn’t take longer than 2-3hrs. please let me know of a good & inexpensive service.

We used 3 Men Movers once and they were pretty cheap.

check out http://www.HireAHelper.com. Just browse by your zip code, the labor you need, and the day you need it. They give you a search result of helpers that cover your area. The individuals are usually college students, or small, local, moving companies- they each set their own prices, but they’re all really cheap!

I’m with you – $ 200-400 for a 2-3 hour service is a bit much. I’m doing the same as you describe and I dread trying to find a service. The 2 men and a truck sound pretty good but I’ll keep looking in case you get better answers….thanks for putting that question out there!

Id go with Pods,…they deliver the pod and pick it up when youre done…..you load it and unload it.

Moving services aren’t cheap. try 2men and a truck, you may be able to find them through a search engine, or anywho.com. to be honest, $ 200 – 400 is not a bad price. good luck.
