Question : I live in los angeles and am looking for a place but I recently lost my job and my unemployment benefits stop?
Are there any housing programs or cheap or assisted living programs out there that can help me out? I know of section 8 but i heard they have like a 5 year waitng list. I need urgent help fast and badly.Please!!! Any advice or does anyone know of any programs like these

You can’t be that recent, unemployment works for at least a full year.
Talk to the local churches and local shelters they find low income temporary housing for people.
