Discount Car and Truck Review: ugly
What happens is that I rented a van to go to a four-day trip, and our four bikes in it. Litarry less than two hours before the start of my road trip I got a call saying the truck and no options. “Sorry for the inconvenience enemy” and that’s all. Here is our welcome four days holiday in Montreal with suitcases and bicycles and a car to get there. I called four times and send an e-mail, but never an answer. So here is the video to see, then maybe they will listen to their customers. I wonder is the poiicy? If the person makes a booking and you have not left a car for any reason they like that? No buffer? additional cars? Rental of the competition?

Hey I work at discount, in Downtown near Dupont and I totally agree with you. The policies are bullshit, and the people have shit for brains. If I could have helped you, I most definetly would have. And just to let you know its possible you didnt get an email response because the INT- is not your rental agreement number, there is another number on your paper which is it. But that still doesnt justify the shitty service you received. PM me if you would like to speak with me, I may be able to help

I stumbled across your video and well I don’t think you will win any awards by putting your face on the internet or get good credits for it. But a way to get a large corporate company knocking at your door. Based on your story that you have provided to the rest of the world. Your first mistake was to book a vehicle ONLINE.

cont. part 2 If your trip was as important as you make it sound to be then maybe you should have gone and spoke to them directly at one of their branches. Cheap does not get you anywhere when its clearly stated on their website that all bookings are based on availability. Second, filming their website without their consent. I do not think if you had your own company and you found your company’s website on a video that is now posted online appealing. Third you have a phone conversation recorded?

So my advice to you is let this be a Learning Lesson the next time a trip means allot to you get off your computer and maybe go and speak to the company directly in person or maybe get to another company and ask if they have an ASS U V. I am sorry I mean an SUV. The best thing you can do is remove this video ASAP before you get a nice letter in the mail from a Lawyer. You know how they know who you are, your reservation number in which you clearly input all your personal information.

first, I, by no means, am talking on behalf of discount.. but here’s my 2 cents… Discount does not (to my knowledge) have car on standby. A car sitting in a driveway is money going out the door. They plan the cars that are due back and they rent them. This planning is exactly to prevent a car from sitting. Of course, they cannot plan when a car will be in an accident (Which I believe was your case).

They can offer an other vehicule meanwhile.. but with your needs (4 bikes and 4 people) You’ll agree that there’s not a whole lot other choices. And also, Pick up trucks and SUV are cars that are not rented a lot. Therefore, They don’t what too much on their fleet because the chances of them being parked is higher (Loss of money). That would explain why there was none in the whole GTA. I don’t know if you received a letter yet.. but that’s what I think of it. -

Well the good industry to car rental to compare would be an airline industry, when something goes wrong with your flight they usually book you in to another similar flight or even use their competitors. As a customer if I made a specialized booking two weeks in advanced and planned a trip, I expect the company to take care of their problems internally and help me out, instead of let me hang there in a last moment without any customer support.

Again your comment is valid, however you are talking from a company perspective, and from my point of view they should take care of their problems internally and make a customer think of them. Just so you know Enteprise near by had SUV’s available, that they could have rent and give it to me. Furthermore, even they problem is not solvable they should not let me be without any customer support of whatsoever.
