Great Stuff as packing material for stained glass panel?

I am making a stained glass panel as a gift and need to send it UPS. Has anyone ever tried using Great Stuff expandable insulation foam as packing material for fragile items? I was thinking of wrapping the panel in bubble wrap and then filling the space around it with Great Stuff.

Before I start calling different moving companies in my area I wanted to get the low down on what is normally included so I don´t sound like a complete cretin. If they say it is ´all included´ I am going to assume they mean boxes, packing material, labor, transport etc. Yes I know I could just ask them but I usually get nervous for some stupid reason and forget to ask half the questions.
