What are the usual, standard supplies and gear you take into battle?
Like what all do you usually pack on into combat in terms of weapons, supplies etc. . . ?

i have only done training, not real combat, sorry, but i know for sure you will be using: a cavilar(with a band that goes around it & reflectors in the back), flat jacket, dues gear with magazines pouches(6 or more pouches, fully loaded magazines), rifle(if using the SAW, drums full of amo with an extra barrel), MRE’s(meals ready-to-eat), compass, map, cammy paint, weapons cleaning gear, gas mask, pop-up flares, a watch, a radio(usually for the radio man & squad leaders, platoon sergeant, etc.), counting pace beads, night vision(goggles & on the rifle), gloves, rules of engagement list, cantines full of water, camel-pack(for water), first-aid kit, dog tags(both for necklace chain & boot), binaculars, pancho, bayonet(knife), extra amo cans & water jugs, pen and notebook, extra boot laces, small back-back(for poly-pro top and bottom, shirt, socks, gortex jacket and pants), a whistle, cam sticks(glow-in-the dark lights, i forgot their names, sorry), zip-up blastic bands or cuffs with different color tags(to tie up the enemy and place different tags on them with different markings explaining about their current persona like injured, dead, officer, etc.), mosquito net & bug repelent, pills to decontaminate dirty water(like drinkable water from a dirty river), ear plugs, hmm, that is all i can remember for right now(has been 8 years ago, i think some of my terminalogy is wrong, can’t remember), sorry.

Depends on what your mission, branch, and job are. Here’s a breakdown of the equipment for a typical Army infantryman: http://www.goarmy.com/life/basic/the_fully_equipped_soldier.html

battle is an unusual term, i mean you take different things when you first deploy in country than when you go out on a patrol. you will take different things if you know you will have a home base that you get to go to everyday or if you will be spending alot of time out on mission.
mission always dictates what you take with you. - Comment Feed for this Post
