Where can I buy a house in Florida?

I’m from the Northeast and I consider buying a holiday home in Florida. I want to stay south of Tampa to the west and Palm Bay to the east. Suggestions? Looking for relaxation, sun, sea and restaurants of Nice, and low crime.

Well the best of the best in Florida is in Miami. You can have the best relaxation, best sun, best ocean, nicest restaurants and low crime and you can do it all by walking, free to very little price mass transit, or if you want by your own car. And of course if you ever want to be in the city or visit or just stop by for whatever reason you can do that as well, and Miami is the only place in Florida that is “city” so you cant do that anywhere else. And if price matters to you, Miami is really inexpensive right now, its the number one or in the top three for people buying property in the U.S.

In my opinion, I spent 20 years living in south Florida. I grew up in Coral Springs which is right next to Pompano Beach. I wouldn’t go any further south than Jupiter. It’s close enough to Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale, even Miami (if you don’t mind the drive) to have the culture. But the crime is lower it’s not as crowded and the people are more friendly. I personally like the west coast better. I like Naples or Venice Beach. That area is more relaxed. More tropical atmosphere.

Fort Myers/Cape Coral very inexpensive right now and nice. Many beaches,restaurants etc.

Pine Island is nice!
Also Fort Myers or Sanibel Island.
