I am looking to move a couch, living room table, a few chairs, a rug, and various items to an apartment in NYC. 96th and Lexington to be specific.

I always use this website http://losangelesmover.org. Even though it’s not in NYC, they have a lot of info about moving, tips, guides, scams etc. You can submit them a moving quote and they will find you very professional movers in your area that charge very reasonable rates.
Anyways, I find that website very resourceful when time comes to move.
