Can i add extensions to my house?
4We own a home in a suburb of Chicago, we bought it a year ago , it’s fairly new ( 3 years old) , we have never missed a payment, pay all the taxes , bills, everything, the monthly payment is $2,000 and well we at first wanted to buy a new home since our family is growing and it’s too small but then we decided that it’d be cheaper if we just added to our house , but i’m curious are we allow to do this? It’s in a subdivision , there is no homeowners association so yeah, do i need to acquire special rights or something? thanks!

How do I replace rotten underlayment when remodeling a tile shower?
4I am remodeling a shower/tub area. I removed the old tiles and the wall underneath is in good shape except for the tub lip which is rusted away. Some of the greenboard looks rotten near the spout and valves. What do I replace the old board with (it is 20 years old)???
The green paper came off with the tiles, what do I put down on the good areas before putting the mastic down? Roofing paper?
