We own a home in a suburb of Chicago, we bought it a year ago , it’s fairly new ( 3 years old) , we have never missed a payment, pay all the taxes , bills, everything, the monthly payment is $2,000 and well we at first wanted to buy a new home since our family is growing and it’s too small but then we decided that it’d be cheaper if we just added to our house , but i’m curious are we allow to do this? It’s in a subdivision , there is no homeowners association so yeah, do i need to acquire special rights or something? thanks!
