Consumption and Real Estate
I am moving overseas, and my parents are very hurt, I am looking for ways to comfort them. ?
My husband has been deported, we have been married for 3 years and have a 2 year old. I want to be with my husband, but that involves moving overseas and my parents are devastated. We are very close, and they currently care for our child while we work. I want to make this as easy on them as possible. Any suggestions?
It will be hard for them to go from caring for their grandchild every day to never seeing it anymore. Get them set up with a webcam and skype before you go and they will be able to talk to you and the child on camera. It’s not the same but it’s better than nothing.
I suppose you will be able to visit sometimes and they can come visit you. Travelling today is not like the old days where you’d spend a month on a ship or something. Maybe when the child is older, he or she can even come stay with them sometimes over the summer. I have a cousin who lets her daughter spend a month with the grandparents every summer. It’s worked out great for them.
