Could you even dream of having a flashlight that was almost guaranteed to last a lifetime? With the newest technology, your dream can become a reality. We all know how frustrating it can be to reach for a flashlight when you are in a bit of a bind, only to find out that the bulb has burned out, or the batteries are dead. We might shuffle around until we find the batteries, just to realize that it is actually the bulb. Even worse is to then find out that the bulb did not just burn out, but it actually broke somehow. Either from the flashlight rolling around in the trunk of your car, or when you slammed the storage drawer shut after your last use. These problems do have a solution.

LED flashlights are one of the newest and greatest technological advantages out there. The bulbs are stronger, longer lasting, and they use less energy, eliminating all three problems at once.

Most incandescent bulbs are known to last only about 1,000 hours, and fluorescent bulbs last about 10,000 hours. LED bulbs have been proven to last 100,000 hours. That is equivalent to about eleven years. The chance of your LED bulb burning out is highly unlikely for at least a decade.

LED bulbs are created in a way that eliminates the potential hazards of glass being in the way. They are much smaller, which lowers the risk of breaking, and there is no glass to break and cause dangerous situations in the dark. They are sturdy and are much safer than traditional bulbs. Most other bulbs are not resistant to cold, heat, shock, and physical damage at the same level as LED bulbs.

Finally, the greatest thing about LED bulbs and LED flashlights like the cool Streamlight Flashlight is that they conserve energy. They burn at a much lower energy level than other bulbs. Incandescent bulbs emit about 98% of their energy as heat, not as light. With the cool burning of LED lights, this is not a problem.

In the short run and in the long run, LED lights are the way to go. This new technology is part of the movement to make the world a better place. And that is certainly something we should all be a part of.
