Banning picks football coach
Scott McRitchie is the new football coach at Banning High, pending school board approval, McRitchie said by phone Friday. He will be introduced to the players at a meeting Monday. McRitchie, 42, was formerly the coach at Hemet West Valley, where he went 23-20 over four years, including a 9-2 record in his final season in 2008.
